One of the most interesting aspects of Irvine Castle is its rich history. Originally built in the early 1600s, the castle played a significant role in the political and social life of the area. It was home to several prominent families over the years, including the Irvine family, who were instrumental in the castle’s construction.
Over the centuries, Irvine Castle has seen its fair share of drama and intrigue. Events throughout the year include showjumping, dressage, pony club events, point to point and the Fermanagh County Show which is a weekend event not to be missed and we are always full way in advance! The Enniskillen Horse and Pony Show also takes place on two dates in November.
