Afternoon Tea and other little luxuries

My love of baking probably began when my babies arrived and I wanted to make their birthday cakes personal, whether that was a stegosaurus or a train with carriages or a flowery fairy fantasy,  I threw myself into creating an edible delight. Nowadays, my children are not only grown up but also spread across the globe, so you, dear guests have to take their place in the cake eating stakes.

You can enjoy a little luxury by booking an afternoon tea in our guest lounge between 2.30 and 5.30pm. You do need to stay for at least two nights to have the time to do this (we recommend three), but we think it’s worth it.

You can book an afternoon tea for up to six people, whether you’re staying here or not. We’re open to local guests from Thursday to Sunday. And if you need a birthday cake, just add it to your order – vanilla, chocolate or coffee flavour.

Afternoon Teas are available at £18.45 per person.

Arriving a little late after a long drive?

Sometimes your journey takes longer than expected and you don’t feel like going out to eat, so we came up with an idea that our guests seem to love.

We now offer a cheeseboard or a charcuterie platter for two people at just £18.99. This can be scaled down if you’re travelling alone. Just let us know what time you’ll be here (check-in is from 4 – 8pm) and we’ll greet you with the platter of your choice (or both if you’re really hungry)  We do need to have at least 24 hours notice, so that shopping can be done!

Picnic Time!

Many of our guests come to stay so that they can do the Stairway to Heaven Boardwalk. Well, how about a yummy packed lunch to take with you? Just book when you reserve a room and we’ll present you with your picnic after breakfast. Simple! Don’t forget to tell us which day you’d like your picnic.
