While many of our guests know us for our hospitality at Rossclare Lodge B&B, not everyone knows about our dedicated self-catering apartment. Located on the same tranquil grounds on the shores of Lough Erne, this space offers the perfect balance of independence and the warm, eco-friendly touches our guests have come to expect, as well as many exciting food options to take the work out of your stay.
Whether you are planning a winter escape or a summer getaway, we have designed the apartment to be a true home-away-from-home for you and your dogs.

Inside, you’ll find a space that prioritises relaxation:
- The Bedroom: A restful double room featuring an ensuite shower and skylights that let the morning light drift in. The Juliet balcony offers a view over the neighbouring woodland to start your day.
- The Living Space: For those visiting during the cooler months, the wood burner provides a cosy focal point. We provide soft throws for the sofas, so you can curl up with a book and your dog by your side.
- The Kitchen: Fully equipped for those who love to cook, including a washer/dryer—ideal for refreshing your gear after a day of hiking, fishing or exploring.
Our dog-friendly accommodation is a paradise for dogs
We know that for many of our guests, a holiday isn’t complete without their four-legged friends. We welcome up to four dogs (depending on size) with no breed restrictions. To make their stay as comfortable as yours, we provide:
- A fully enclosed private garden for peace of mind.
- An outdoor hose for washing down muddy paws after a woodland walk.
- Dedicated dog towels and a supply of treats in your welcome pack.
- A fluffy dog rug and donut bed for snoozing.
While your private garden is secure, we do ask that dogs remain on a lead in the main communal gardens out of respect for our other guests and our resident hens.
Nature on Your Doorstep – Stairway to Heaven nearby stay
The beauty of Lough Erne is just a short stroll away. A gentle walk leads you down to the jetty, which is arguably the best spot in the area to witness the sunset over the water.
In the summer, you can enjoy a BBQ in your garden or spend the evening by the firepit toasting marshmallows under the stars. If you prefer a quiet night in, our Geodome in the front garden remains a popular spot for star gazing with a glass of wine.
Many of our guests come specifically to hike the boardwalk and the Stairway to Heaven, then pay a visit to the magnificent Marble Arch Caves. We can help you with your itinerary – just ask!
More Than Just Self-Catering: Dining Your Way
While the apartment features a fully equipped kitchen, we believe you should have the option to step away from the stove. We offer a variety of catered experiences delivered right to your door or served in the main lodge:
- Breakfast & Brunch: Start your morning with a home-cooked breakfast delivered directly to the apartment. If you have friends or family staying nearby, you are welcome to invite up to four additional guests to join you for a leisurely brunch or supper.
- Signature Platters: Enjoy our famous sharing platters or a traditional French-style raclette—perfect for a relaxed evening by the wood burner. This year we’ve added a chocolate fondue too!
- Interactive Dining: For a bit of fun, we can provide DIY pizza kits or a full BBQ pack, ready for you to grill.
- Afternoon Tea: For a special treat, join us in the guest sitting room for afternoon tea, where you can enjoy the cosy atmosphere and soft lighting of the lodge, whilst indulging in our home baked scones, and yummy little savouries.
