Our Ethos

For a long time we have wanted to own a home powered by the sun, so we are delighted to have installed solar panels in January 2023, so that our house is now run, as much as possible,  on renewable energy. You can take your shower, safe in the knowledge that the sun has heated your water. We think that’s pretty cool (or hot!).

Added to that, we have tried to be as eco-friendly as possible with our purchases, buying in bulk whenever we can to reduce the carbon footprint of our household consumables. So your loo paper and tissues come from an ethical company and are made from sustainable bamboo and delivered once a quarter. Likewise, those fabulous sheets on your bed are made from sustainable bamboo and they are so so silky and cosy.

Single use plastic? No thanks! Your bathroom toiletries are not in those tiny little bottles (cute but expensive in more ways than one) we have reduced our impact on the planet by using refillable bottles and dispensers wherever we can.

Even the milk for your morning cuppa can be found in the fridge in cute little jugs, always fresh, never longlife and never in plastic! Fresh water is provided in glass carafes, not plastic bottles.
